Happiness

Happiness can be as simple as  enjoy cooking dinner at night after a long day.
I need to appreciate what I have in life, it can be as simple as this.

Ingredient: Spaghetti, Tomato, Capsicum, Garlic, Furikake Seasoning.

Walk a walk in Penang Island

Some pictures I took while I was in Penang.  Went with mum and my two sisters.  It feels pretty good to walk around town.  Discovered some nice dining place.  

Hope I can go back again soon.  Eat some good food, walk around, explore and get more familiar with this place again.

DIY: Scrunchies & Pouch

Today is Hari Raya, did not went home coz sis needs to work.  Fixed my mum's sewing machine few weeks ago, but does not have the time to sew anything.  So now I finally have some free time to do some DIY stuff.  Yay!  First thing to try~ is the easiest DIY ever, scrunchies! 

The red stripes cloth is from my mum, I have no idea how many years it was kept.

As for the blue color scrunchy, I use some old fabric too, which I took from my previous rented place @_@


After I'm done with the experiment with scrunchies~  I moved on to pouch!  I've bought some pretty cloth from Kamdar while I was in my hometown.  My old faithful Tsumori Chisato pouch started to peel off in the inside.  So it's time to sew a new one.  I based the size from Tusmori Chisato's pouch. Online search for tutorial, and I tried my luck.

It's my first time sewing a zipper...

Turns out it's not that bad!  

Now my make up stuff has a pretty pouch to go to again :3

And I sew it in double layer, using floral as the outer layer, and a plain blue as the inner layer.

Here, you can c the Tsumori Chisato's pouch :)  I love it a lot!  It's a bit pity that the inner layer starts to peel.  :(

 I'm pretty happy with how it turns out, all the effort of scratching head, searching for tutorial, watching tutorial vids are not wasted :3

Pudding!

This is a very cute cook book that I keep for a very long time (since my childhood), I don't remember when did I buy this.  But this should be my first ever cook book.

Recently I watched a youtube vid showing how to make pudding.  The channel is called "Cooking with dog".  So here is my attempt, Mega Pudding!  I don't have a smaller bowl for the pudding, hence the mega size.  This is the 2nd attempt.  Too bad I did not took the picture of my 1st pudding, which has black caramel sauce (failed), it was very bitter as I overcooked the caramel.

This book does have the pudding's recipe, but I forgot to take the picture.  So in this pic, I just wanna show how cute is the content inside the book.

3rd Attempt, I made this while I was in my hometown, mum and dad does not seems to like it.  Dad said it is too "eggy" taste; mum said she cannot really eat that much of egg :(  Sigh.... It failed anyway, it looks more like a Portuguese Egg Tart.  I should have use smaller fire to cook it, so that it is smooth.  Next time I'll try again! 

Back Home

Duck Egg Fried Kuey Teow.  Located at the corner lot kopitiam, same roll with Yamaha Music Centre at Jalan Kulim.  Open around 8pm (that's what my mum told me)

Some pics that I took while I was back home in Bukit Mertajam.  The last pic is the famous duck egg fried kuey teow!  Thanks to cx I finally found the new place where it moved to! YAY!  I seldom go back home nowadays after I started working but really, holiday at home is great :)
