Henna

We went to Shilparamam Market today and did some shopping. Then we saw around 6 - 7 ladies sitting on the benches doing henna. Woooo~ I never tried doing henna before! Suddenly remembered that I did something similar to henna in Indonesia~ They use a stick to draw though... Anyway, let's see some pics

Nice, right?

Okay... I forgot which one is who's hand already. Cause even the guys tried Henna XD

Yeap, see the proof XD Jothan here.

Then, our famous Pitt, happilly enjoying this moment~ :D

Steve and Albert too, but I have only Steve's pics here~

Here's mine~ My hand never look so pretty before. ;P

I choose the Arabic design rather than India design
Perhaps next time should try to do both hands in India design, if I have the chance :D

Rupees

Let's talk about money in India.
Oh, it's not about I ran out of cash and ended up eating Mc Aloo Tikki nearly everyday this week :P

India Rupees are quite funny sometimes

I wonder why do Indians like to write numbers on their notes?
Don't they have better place to write on? -__-lll

You can find almost 70% - 80% of the notes are written with numbers on the similar blank spot.
Nope, there is no instruction of "Please fill in the blank" on the notes XP

And look what I discovered today

In the whole stack of 500 Rupees, there is one which is in different color
O______o???

I'm still wondering if that is a fake note or not... The color difference is so obvious!
.... but these are all from the ATM machine neh~ @__@
No wonder even the local people complain that they are confused with their own country's notes

Ok, let's move on~

Here is how a command 10 Rupees looks like

And this is the older version of 10 Rupees, if I'm not mistaken
I think it's very antique looking, so I was thinking of keeping it
But when I look closely....

What the....!!!! "Happy New Year"?! =____=

I do not have other example of notes, cause I almost finish all the small notes
So, let's see how's the coins looks like

They have 2 versions for 5 Rupees. They look normal. Yeap~

Eh? Suddenly you see a "victory" sign appear~ Yes, this is how India's 2 Rupees looks like.
I dunno... but compare to their other version on the left, the one on the right just looks so fake (can't find other word to describe)... Funny looking 2 Rupees indeed

Wait! There's more~

This is how their 1 Rupee looks like in 2 versions. The bottom version... "thumbs up"
This is just....... just too much XD

One of my group mate, Steve is actually thinking of collecting all the "thumbs up" coins and give them to his friends as souvenir. Whenever you are indecisive, just flip the coin to decide. If "thumbs up" means you should do it~ XD
So what do I think of it?

India Rupees............... good arrrrrr~ yeah~ XD

The Clothing Issues

When we were at the airport, I noticed
All the guy's luggage are bigger than mine
Mine is kinda like the smallest of them all

Oh... I thought I'm a girl, who should be the one who brought a lot of stuff here
Apparently not

There are only 9 upper part clothes which pajamas are not included
2 Long Jeans
1 Short pants
1 Knee length skirt
1 Jacket

Damn it! I should have brought more!!!

-__- I packed my bag as the usual way I pack for traveling with my family
Which is "as less as possible" (coz we traveled the way sort of like backpackers)
Now I know, i should not cut down that much

Every Monday to Friday, I can only have 1 pants to swap -__-
Monday, Pants A
Tuesday, Pants B
Wednesday, Pants A... again!
Thursday, Pants B and so on...
Argghhhhh~

Then the "go out makan" short pants.... There's only ONE?!?!
Noooooooo~~~~ Why am I that stupid?!?!
If I go out makan at night everyday, it'll be the same damn pants!

Oh, how about the skirt?
No
One should not think of bringing any short skirt around the Monsoon Season in India
It's WINDY!
Like.... EVERYDAY!

Although my skirt is knee length
It still "flew" and "dance" in the air
When I first tried to wear it, I regret and went up to changed it before I leave my apartment
Guess I'm not giving up
Cause I have so little pants here and now I can't even wear my only skirt?!?!

So, I wore it yesterday, the 2nd attempt
and I regret again!
However I have no time to change it back to pants this time...
#@%$%$#@
Die then die lar~ Just pakai sahaja~ I'll just hold my skirt

Guess I'll wear it to office then, at least it's not windy inside

No wonder the Indian ladies are wearing long Saree or Salwar Kameez here
The Salwar Kameez looks like this

It is quite popular among the Indian ladies, can pair it with a very long and fit legging

Or with the loose trousers (the salwar)

I checked it on the wiki
This Salwar Kameez is actully originates from Muslim invaders from Turkey and Afghanistan
Now it's popular among the Indian ladies

That's it for now

Oh ya~ The number 42.5 made my day yesterday XD
Haven't seen this number for years~ Even if it's not accurate I am still going to believe it :D

Charminar in Hyderabad

So, how did I spend my 1st weekend in Hyderabad?

Of course we went out to visit one of the significant landmark of Hyderabad, Charminar

I wasn't too sure about it's history, as I wasn't listening to the security guard who volunteer to be our guide. It's too noisy up there.

The interior

The busy street underneath

The full view of Charminar

So, what's the usual transport we take to move around this area?

Of course we don't ride a motorbike, people here who drives are really brave
Cause the traffic is chaotic

This is what we took to go around town. At first we called it Tut-tuts.
We then asked the local, it's actually called Auto, sounded more like "ato"

Very cute yellow "Auto", it can actually fit 8 of us in
Well, of course some of us will be the "bumbung" XD

In order to feel more comfortable, we usually take 2 "Auto"s

And I saw camel! Feels so Arabic

Khairul talking to the kids on the train.
We are all exhausted, he's the only one who still able to talk to them.

That's it for today, will update more next time.
